Even if the calendar says it's not winter yet when the temperature drops and the snow isn't melting it's winter to me.
Since it happens every year I am usually, mostly ready for it.
But there always seem to be something I forget.
This year it was to replace my old, worn out snow shovel.
My old shovel was so worn it catches on every little crack in the sidewalk and it doesn't move as much snow making the job harder and longer.
Here's a quick check list of what you need to make it through this years snow shoveling season.
- Snow shovel
- Ice chipper
- Ice melt or sand
- Snow boots
- Winter coat
- Winter gloves
- Toques or other winter head gear
Check the condition of these items and repair or replace as necessary.
