Optional Home Inspection Warranty Package

 A home inspection gives you a clear picture of a property's condition on the day it's inspected. But what happens after possession? For just $25 added to your inspection fee, Executive Home Inspections offers an optional warranty package that provides 90 days of coverage on key home systems, 5 year roof leak protection, and an appliance recall check service. It's an affordable safety net for the period right after you move in — when unexpected issues are most stressful and most expensive.

These services are provided by Residential Warranty Services, Inc. and are subject to their terms and conditions. Some limitations and restrictions apply.

What's Included in the Warranty Package:

90 Day Mechanical Warranty Covers failure due to normal wear and tear on the following systems:

• Plumbing — water lines, faucets, water heaters, drain lines, gas lines
• Electrical — main service panel, secondary service panel, and wiring
• Appliances — oven, range, dishwasher, built-in microwave, trash compactor, and garbage disposal
• Heating and cooling — furnace, air conditioner, and thermostats

90 Day Structural Warranty Covers failure due to normal wear and tear on the following:

• Poured concrete and block wall foundations
• Floor joists, bottom and top plates, and wall members
• Roof leak repair (does not include replacement of bad shingles)
• Load bearing walls and attached garage doors

Sewer Gard — 90 Day Coverage Covers failure of the following due to normal wear and tear:

• Water line — the single lateral water service line from the utility connection to the water meter or main shut off inside the home, including well water lines up to five feet below surface level
• Sewer line — the single lateral sewer service line from the home's exterior wall to the connection point at the municipal wastewater system or septic tank

Mold Safe — 90 Day Coverage If no visible mold or moisture issues were identified during your home inspection, this coverage provides remediation of any new visible mold that appears on permanently installed surfaces during the 90 day agreement term.

Platinum 5 Year Roof Leak Protection Provides coverage for leak repairs for five years following your inspection. Please note — any defects, leaks, or moisture issues identified during the inspection are not covered. This plan covers new leaks only and is not a policy of insurance. Damage resulting from fire, flood, lightning, vandalism, or other perils should be reported to your homeowner's insurance provider.

RecallChek — Appliance Recall Service RecallChek has compiled over 205 million recalls from public records to identify dangerous flaws with home appliances. If a manufacturer has issued a recall on any of your appliances, they are required to repair it at no charge.

• Your inspector records appliance information on site (typically dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, water heater, and furnace)
• You receive a RecallChek report by email separately from your inspection report
• You receive monthly recall update emails from RecallChek going forward

Important Notes:

• The warranty package is optional and must be added at the time of booking or before the inspection is completed — it cannot be added after the fact

Is the Warranty Package Worth It? At $25 it's one of the lowest cost ways to protect yourself in the 90 days after possession — the period when most unexpected issues surface. A single service call on a furnace, water heater, or electrical panel will cost many times that amount. For most buyers it's an easy decision.
